There are several types of Memberships available to support individuals at every career stage and from across the globe. Please see below for information about reduced or free Membership fees for individuals who are living and working in low, lower middle, and upper middle income countries. Standard Member

For individuals engaging professionally in scientific, clinical or academic contributions to the field of DOHaD

Trainee / Early Career Researcher Member

For graduate students, postdoctoral and clinical fellows training in and pursuing research activities in the field of DOHaD

Undergraduate Member

For undergraduate students interested in DOHaD and related research and activities

Associate Member

For individuals who do not require the full benefits of Standard Membership, including members of DOHaD Regional Societies and individuals interested in DOHaD-related activities but who are not actively engaged in research.

Reduced or Free Rates for LMIC Residents

To reduce barriers in global collaboration, we offer discounted or free Memberships for residents of low, lower middle, and upper middle income countries (as defined by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, OECD and the World Bank), and for our colleagues in Latin America. These Members receive the full benefits of their Membership tier, as well as additional opportunities to apply for grant funding for travel to attend the DOHaD World Congresses. To be eligible for these discounts, individuals must be living and working in LMICs.

Who should apply?

  • Individuals who are research associates or technicians engaged in DOHaD-related research/academic activities
  • Individuals engaged in full-time clinical practice who do not conduct or publish research, but who are interested in the field of DOHaD
  • Individuals interested in DOHaD research, advocacy, education and/or policy, but are not actively engaged in research — including individuals employed in industry, healthcare, and policy, including government and NGOs
  • Individuals wishing to remain affiliated with their local DOHaD Regional Society, who do not require the full benefits of Standard or Trainee/ECR membership with the International DOHaD Society
  • Any other individuals who do not require the full benefits of Standard Membership

Benefits of Associate Membership

  • Access to the password-protected Members Area of the DOHaD Society website
  • May join their local Regional Society at no additional cost, unless they are in the United States. Additional fees apply for Associate members who are interested in joining the US DOHaD Society.
  • Discounted or free access to other online opportunities, symposia, newsletters, webinars and short courses

Please note, Associate Members do not receive access to JDOHaD or reduced registration rates to the Society's World Congresses.

 

How much does it cost?
Associate Membership is £20 per annum for individuals in high income countries, and £0-10 for individuals in LMICs. All country-specific discounts will be applied during checkout.

  • Any individual who has demonstrated professional competence and is engaged in academic, clinical or research contributions to the field of DOHaD
  • Individuals are likely to have a doctorate, or demonstrated equivalence in clinical or research fields

Trainee and Early Career Researcher (ECR) Member

Who should apply?

  • Graduate students, postdoctoral and/or clinical fellows who are training in DOHaD-related research activities and have ≤7 years of experience after obtaining their PhD, MD, or equivalent

The Society reserves the right to request verification of career status to validate an individual's eligibility for trainee/ECR membership. When their membership is up for renewal, Trainee/ECR members are eligible to upgrade to Standard membership upon completion of their training and obtaining their first academic or professional appointment.

Undergraduate Member

Who should apply?

  • Individuals who are undergraduate students and are interested in DOHaD research, advocacy, education and/or policy
  • Students do not have to be actively engaged in research

The Society reserves the right to request proof of ongoing studies or degree status to validate an individual's eligibility for undergraduate membership. Undergraduate members may join the DOHaD Society at any stage of their education/degree until its completion, at which point they are eligible to switch to an alternative membership type when their membership is up for renewal.
