Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
The DOHaD Society supports and promotes Equity, Diversity and Inclusion throughout our entire organization and Membership. These core values provide the framework for our activities within academia, education, research, and our professional and public activities. We embrace unique differences, diverse backgrounds and experiences of all our staff, volunteers, Members and partners. Our goal is to continuously foster a culture of inclusion and accessibility.
We recognise that diversity of identity, lived experience and perspective play central roles in supporting and promoting health strategies, and the importance of building inclusive and collegial networks within our community. Our commitment to support Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) considers global and systemic barriers that many communities face resulting from historical and codified policies of exclusion. We expect our staff, volunteers, Members and partners to share our values and take part in our vision and aims. This commitment is not only a responsibility of our Society but an individual Member commitment as well.
The DOHaD Society expects all Members to behave professionally, and uphold the objectives and aims of the Society. Positive behaviours should govern all Society Members, Council Members and Trustees throughout their engagements with, or on behalf of, any and all of the Society’s activities in all spheres of professional work. For more information, please read the Society’s EDI Framework and Code of Conduct.
