NOMINATIONS FOR DOHaD COUNCIL
Interested in playing a role in the Society?
Council members are elected. Each Council member serves on Council for 3 years. Any member can be nominated for a position on Council. Nominations for Council posts that are up for re-election should include a cover letter explaining your interest and a brief CV and emailed to email@example.com. Qualifications for joining Council are: DOHaD membership, a desire to have a say, and willingness to participate in developing the Society’s strengths and activities.
We are currently seeking DOHaD members who want to play an active role in influencing the direction of the Society. The DOHaD Society is managed by a group of members known as the DOHaD Council. Representatives are drawn from all World regions, and specialties (basic sciences, clinical science and public health). The Council ‘meets’ by teleconference 3-4 times a year, and in person at each World Congress. We welcome people of all ages and career levels. Each member of Council serves for 3 years, after which their post comes up for election – all DOHaD members can take part in the vote.
Current and past members of Council can re-stand for election. Any DOHaD member can put themselves forward for the Council election, or nominate another member, but please check with them first; we will need an e-mail from the individual stating that they are willing to stand.
Council seats open for re-election this year are:
European representative (2)
Low and Middle Income Representative (3 positions)
North American representative
Public health and policy
Trustee (2 positions)
