Ways to Give

Our Society’s mission is to promote global health equity, focusing on strategies that support a life course approach to long-term health. Ours is a coordinated strategy that explores the scientific basis, and the social and environmental context of the relationships between early human development and health and disease risk later in life. We are determined to improve the condition of global communities and populations challenged with the burden of health inequity. Your generosity will support our research, education and advocacy work to develop and apply public health strategies to create a healthy start to life and reduce the risk of chronic disease.

Brain Mobility Award Fund

The highly competitive Brain Mobility Award was established to support emerging and early career researchers by providing opportunities to enhance training and skills, research collaborations, and the interchange of ideas and expertise. Contributions to this fund support promising and talented early career researchers to visit and work for 1-3 months with high achieving academics in the DOHaD field. These awards align with the Society’s mission to improve the health and well-being of future generations by widening DOHaD educational opportunities globally.

Travel Fund for Trainees/ECRs and LMIC Members

Because travel costs are often a significant barrier to global collaboration, this fund promotes the diversity, equity, and inclusion of our widespread Membership to attend the Society World Congresses. Individual awards of up to £500 are available for DOHaD Trainees and Early Career Researchers, as well as Members residing in LMICs, to support their travel to attend and present their research at the Society’s World Congresses. Contributions to this Fund help sponsor these Members in showcasing their outstanding DOHaD research, as well as networking with their global DOHaD community.
